ISKA in Europe:
At the last annual meeting of the ISKA Europe the members voted for a new "board of directors"
and for some new directions and ideas in the ISKA Europe.
As of now, we again have an amateur federation in Europe, with bylaws, rules and regulations. This ISKA Europe federation will sanction tournaments and shows including European and World Championships.
If you would like to have ISKA sanctioning for your tournament, contact with the ISKA representative.
All professional promoters and fighters are listed online and accessible to anybody in the international rankling list. The position of each fighter is determined according to their fighting record and their value.
ISKA world wide:
The US OPEN, held annually in Florida, is the world's BIGGEST KICKBOXING TOURNAMENT.
The ISKA is recognised worldwide as both a regulating body for competitive martial arts and the governing body for amateur and professional kickboxing. Hosting their annual martial arts championships (in semicontact and forms) yearly at the prestigious US Open World Martial Arts Championships, the ISKA crowns world champions in seven types of martial arts competition.
Sanctioning over 200 major title kickboxing events per year on five continents, the ISKA continues to update rules, train & certify officials and maintain the ratings necessary to recognize both worthy champions and world rated kickboxing contenders in this fast growing and exciting sport.
The ISKA's international network of events insures the credibility of their "world championship" titles and gives these world class athletes an international platform on which to perform. Live events are very well attended with major shows being broadcasted as special ISKA pay per view extravaganzas as well as being taped for our weekly television series on ESPN2, STRIKE FORCE: ISKA KICKBOXING. Additionally , 1998 marked the return of competitive martial arts to national television with the airing of four, half hour segments taped from the 25th Annual U.S. Open.
Chuck Norris, Jean Claude Van Damme, Don "The Dragon" Wilson, Cynthia Rothrock, Ernie Reyes Jr., and Jeff Speakman are just a few of the names of the industry stars who have appeared at events in support of the ISKA, competitive martial arts and the sport of kickboxing.
